Dave and Cathi flew to Ontario, California on their way to a week in Palm Springs to celebrate their 38th wedding anniversary in September 2013.
We relaxed by the pool at the Terra Cotta Inn in Palm Springs. We took day trips to the Living Desert in Palm Desert and rode the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway up the mountain for a long hike in the park and ate a picnic lunch. The Living Desert is a zoo and botanical garden. The Palm Springs Aerial Tramway was celebrating its 50th anniversary and we received a special commemorative coin. The ten minute ride up the mountain starts at elevation 2,643 and ends at the Mountain Station at elevation 8,516.
